Clayton Johnson’s practice focuses on providing counsel to clients in a variety of aspects of business and corporate law, including entity formation, tax, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate governance. He also regularly advises clients in estate planning and elder law matters.
Prior to joining the Firm, Clayton represented the State of Connecticut through the Connecticut State Attorney's Office. He has also worked for the United States Postal Service's Northeast Area Law Office, responsible for legal matters arising throughout New England.
During law school, Clayton served as an editor of the Connecticut Insurance Law Journal, where his article regarding the impact of a recent U.S. Supreme Court decision upon the treatment of unpaid insurance premiums in bankruptcy proceedings was selected for publication (13 Conn. Ins. L.J. 427).
Clayton currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Saginaw Zoo, the Northeastern Michigan Estate Planning Council, and the Clare County Fair. He also volunteers as a fund distribution coordinator for the United Way of Clare County.
